These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of GloTrends and related websites, dashboards, APIs, feeds, and services provided at or through its address(es) (collectively, the “Service”), operated by GloTrends (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Acceptance
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
- By accessing the Service, creating an account, or using our APIs, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
- Live Trends. GloTrends surfaces trending entities/keywords by country with derived metrics (e.g., tone, movement, categories). Live data is subject to change and may be incomplete or delayed.
- APIs & Feeds. Programmatic access (REST/WebSocket) may require registration, API keys, and paid plans. Usage is subject to plan limits, fair use, and these Terms.
- Beta Features. Certain features may be labeled “beta,” “preview,” or similar, and are provided “as is,” may be withdrawn, and may be less reliable than generally available features.
3. Accounts & Security
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys. Do not share them. You are responsible for all activities under your account.
- Notify us immediately at info@glotrends.online of any suspected unauthorized use or security incident.
4. Subscriptions, Fees & Taxes
- Paid features are billed according to the plan you select. Fees are non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
- Plans, limits, and pricing may change with reasonable notice. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and charges, excluding our income-based taxes.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to allow third parties to:
- Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation, or for unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise derive source or underlying datasets that we do not make publicly available.
- Scrape or harvest beyond documented API endpoints, bypass or defeat rate limits, or access the Service in a manner that imposes unreasonable load.
- Introduce malware, interfere with the Service’s operation, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Remove or alter attributions, copyright notices, or required branding.
6. Data Sources, Attribution & License to Your Content
- Derived Data. The Service may incorporate or derive insights from third-party sources and publicly available material. We do not control third-party content and make no guarantees regarding its accuracy, availability, or legality.
- Attribution. When required by your plan or output method, you must include conspicuous attribution such as: “Source: GloTrends (live trends derived from publicly available news metadata)”. Additional or alternative attributions may be specified in your plan or API docs.
- Your Content. If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content to us, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and create derivative works from it, for any purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and derived datasets we provide, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
- Except as expressly permitted (e.g., via plan allowances or API docs), you may not copy, modify, create derivative works, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs.
8. API Terms
- Keys & Identity. API keys are personal to your account and may not be shared, embedded in public code, or redistributed.
- Rate Limits. You must comply with published limits and fair use. We may throttle or suspend access if usage threatens stability or violates policy.
- Caching. Unless otherwise stated in your plan, caching is allowed for performance, provided you refresh after expiry and honor removal requests.
- Resale. You may not resell or republish raw outputs or near-substitutes of the Service without a separate written agreement.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for providing any necessary notices and obtaining any necessary consents for your end users.
10. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the Service at any time, including live feeds, without liability, provided we give reasonable notice where practicable. We will not materially reduce core paid features during a paid term without offering a remedy or pro-rated refund where required by law.
11. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- We do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or real-time availability. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or withdrawn.
12. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- Our aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Suspension & Termination
- We may suspend or terminate access to the Service immediately if we believe you have violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or create liability for us or others.
- Upon termination, your rights under these Terms will cease immediately, and you must stop using the Service and destroy any confidential materials obtained from it.
15. Compliance & Export
- You must comply with all applicable laws, including sanctions, export control, and anti-corruption laws. You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country or on any list where the provision of the Service would be prohibited by applicable law.
16. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party sites or services. We do not endorse and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
17. Ownership of Feedback & Statistics
We may generate usage statistics, performance metrics, and analytics related to the operation and use of the Service. We own such aggregated and anonymized data and may use it to improve the Service and for other lawful business purposes.
18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government orders, utility failures, internet outages, or third-party service disruptions.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., by posting on the site, email, or in-product notice). Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria, excluding its conflict of law rules.
- Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
- Before filing suit, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes via negotiation for at least 30 days after written notice.

If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that portion will be construed to reflect the parties’ original intent, and the remaining portions will remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
